About This Website

Welcome to AlbertaRheumatology.com. Read a little bit about us and who we are:

In 2010, we launched EdmontonRheumatology.com as a resource for patients, medical students, residents and physicians on all aspects related to rheumatology in Edmonton.

For our patients, it was an opportunity to provide accurate & trustworthy information, as well as a resource to answer those simple but at times frustrating questions: Where do I find my rheumatologist’s office? What should I do at my first appointment?

For our students, it was an opportunity to provide a one stop resource for teaching rheumatology, with salient up to date links to papers, videos, and rotation information. For ourselves, it became a place to keep forms and links to data we need to ensure we provide the best and most efficient care to our patients.

By 2014, we had over 100,000 visitors from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and all over the world. We launched an accompanying Youtube Video site, and grown the resources available, including the opportunity to be more interactive with our patients.

Now, this website sees the launch of AlbertaRheumatology.com, taking the place of EdmontonRheumatology.com. This website is the work of the rheumatologists of Alberta, in both Edmonton and Calgary. All the information provided has been by the contribution of your rheumatologists, who have been certified by the Royal College of Physician and Surgeon of Canada. So, if you are looking for information on arthritis, lupus, fibromyalgia, gout, vasculitis, and more, this website will provide you the local Alberta views and information that are truthful and instructive.

Whether from Alberta or anywhere in Canada, please feel free to learn and share from our website.
